PPS is proud to announce that it was selected to participate in the EU 7th Framework Programme (FP7) for Research & Technological Development. The company will be part of a Stem Cell Consortium entitled "Cardio Repair European Multidisciplinary Initiative", which is due to start on April 1, 2010.

PPS has entered into an agreement with BrainStorm Cell Therapeutics Inc., a leading developer of adult stem cell technologies and therapeutics, for cGMP production of BrainStorm's stem cell therapeutic product. The clinical-grade product will be used in a pre-clinical safety trial for the company’s innovative therapy for ALS.

(PPS) announced today that the company had been awarded a second year grant from Israel's prestigious Office of the Chief Scientist (OCS) program of support for industrial R&D. The grant was designated by the OCS to partially fund the continuation of Factor VIIa process development and production program, as a part of the company's platform of "Biosimilars Plus".

The company will receive approximately 800,000 NIS throughout October 1, 2008 to September 30, 2009 to fund the process development and production of Factor VIIa.

The delegation was sponsored by the UK Trade & Investment Office of the British Embassy in Tel Aviv as part of the ongoing programme of developing biotechnology links between the UK and Israel.

PPSV was granted IS 500,000 by the Start-up Fund of the Ministry of National Infrastructures to carry out its project entitled "Cost Effective Enzyme-Based Degradation of Cellulosic Waste to Ethanol". The grant reflects the policy of the Ministry with regard to promotion of energy efficiency and the use of alternative and renewable energy.

The bi-national R&D program of the Korea-Israel Industrial Foundation (KORIL-RDF) has approved a joint proposal of Protein Production Services (Israel) and DAMO Cosmetics (Republic of Korea) entitled "Development and commercialization of anti-aging applications based on recombinant human Growth Hormone and its stimulators from herbal extracts origin". The project was granted a total of $943,622 over 3 years, of which 50% will be paid by KORIL-RDF.
